The vanishing door
Claire moves back into the house of her parents, who disappeared 20 years ago. She is greeted by Ajax, a mysterious and taciturn caretaker.
The film
« La porte dérobée » is a short film made for the Four Point Film Project 2018. The goal: write, shoot and edit a short film in under 72 hours, with 4 constraints: a genre, a character, a prop and a line of dialogue. The constraints: Genre: Fantasy. Character: Lars Lessard, locksmith. Prop: a mint candy. Line of dialogue: « Turn up the volume ». The film was shot in a villa found by Younes Boutinane, who choreographed the fights with Maxime Escoiffier and Thibault Gassman. For once, Thibaut Frankel took the cinematographer’s seat. The film came third in the international Four Point Film Project competition: Second Runner Up for Best Film.
